Christmas 2009

We had a great Christmas this year.  It was very low key but very enjoyable.  We had a few friends over Xmas Eve.  My grandson Cody was up at 5:30 and very nicely starting opening his presents by himself.  Luckily, he didn't get them all open!  He was just so wound up over it all.  They all got lovely gifts.  My granddaughter, Jordan who is 14 got a laptop.  She didn't have a clue she was getting something like that so the excitement was pretty intense.  And her grandparents and family on the other side bought her a beautiful, expensive digital camera!  She wasn't expecting that either.  So the lucky girl had an awesome Xmas.  She is into photography in a pretty big way and will be putting the new camera to good use.
And Grandma got a big traditional Xmas scrapping kit.  I also asked for and received a lovely hallway mirror that has 2 shelves for ornaments and such.  My daughter and her husband came over last night and hung it for me.  He also dug my car out of the snow drifts as we had a storm all Xmas.  Very wind but mild, so that was a bonus.
I didn't think I was going to have any kind of Xmas as I got a horrible cold starting the Sun last week.  Still coughing my fool head off so it must be bronchitis.  Next thing, have to go to Drs.  Something I don't like to have to do, but unfortunately I think I may need some help getting rid of it.
I didn't get to see my son, his wife and my granddaughter.  Or my granddaughter and my great granddaughter.  Plans are being made for a Xmas get together after New Years.  Just too much family and not enough time to go around.  And they are out of town, so luckily no plans were made as we wouldn't have been able to travel either way.  This way their wasn't too much disappointment.  There's always the phone, internet and Facebook!!  Lol.
